Live Concert Video Now Available

By popular demand, the genre-defying trio Time for Three returned to perform a free concert Monday, January 8 at the Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood. The special winter concert was part of a celebration of the group’s partnership with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony through their three-year Project Tf3 residency, completed in summer 2017.

Music Director, Alasdair Neale, returned to host his popular speaking series on Thursday, January 4. Titled “Why Mozart?,” the talk provided a first look at the 2018 In Focus Series performances to take place July 29-August 3.

Welcome Derek Dean, New Sun Valley Summer Symphony Executive Director

President Susan Monson, on behalf of the Board of Directors and Music Director Alasdair Neale, is pleased to announce the appointment of Derek L. Dean as Executive Director. Dean joins the Sun Valley Summer Symphony from the San Francisco Symphony, where he has served as Chief Operating Officer since June 2015.

Did you Know

2017 celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Summer Music Institute, the Symphony’s dynamic summer music training program. With its 20th anniversary, the program welcomed a new name. No longer called “The Workshops,” this broad-based summer training program is now referred to as “The Institute.”
