The Coffee Tour
The Sun Valley Jazz and Music Festival is joining forces with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony Education Department and the Wood River High School Choral Department to make the morning of Thursday, October 19 something special in the Wood River Valley. The opening performance of the “Coffee Tour” features the world’s oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group, the Whiffenpoofs, joined by Wood River High School and Sun Valley Summer Symphony groups, The B-Tones, Colla Voce and Enchante. The performance will take place at The Community Campus in Hailey, located at 1050 Fox Acres Road, and begins at 8:00 a.m. Each group will have a featured set after the traditional introduction — a collaborative rendition of “God Bless America” led by The Whiffenpoofs and The B-Tones. The final number of the performance will be presented as a tribute to the self-proclaimed local Whiffenpoof Mom and “Coffee Tour” coordinator, Marty Orwig.
The Whiffenpoofs will continue the “Coffee Tour” on their own the rest of the morning, performing throughout the Wood River Valley and providing the perfect early morning wake-up. The performance times and locations are:
