Education Events 2018

Sun Valley Summer Symphony offers education opportunities for students of all ages. Students in the School of Music perform recitals during the academic year and Summer Music Institute performs in August concurrent with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony season. Adult education opportunities include the Lawn Chats (formally Concert Previews) during the Symphony season and Upbeat with Alasdair talks. All of these education events are offered to the community free of charge.

School of Music Honors Recital

Symphony School of Music string, piano and voice students will perform a wide variety of pieces from Bach, Vivaldi and Grieg to Barber and Vaughn Williams. The concert is free of charge and open to the public and is expected to last about 90 minutes

Music Director, Alasdair Neale, returns to host his popular speaking series on Thursday, January 4. Titled “Why Mozart?,” the talk will provide a first look at the 2018 In Focus Series performances to take place July 29-August 3.
