Time for Three Returns for Special Concert

By popular demand, the genre-defying trio Time for Three returns to perform a free concert Monday, January 8 at the Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood. The special winter concert is part of a celebration of the group’s partnership with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony through their three-year Project Tf3 residency, completed in summer 2017.

Music Director, Alasdair Neale, returns to host his popular speaking series on Thursday, January 4. Titled “Why Mozart?,” the talk will provide a first look at the 2018 In Focus Series performances to take place July 29-August 3.

2017 celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Summer Music Institute, the Symphony’s dynamic summer music training program. With its 20th anniversary, the program welcomed a new name. No longer called “The Workshops,” this broad-based summer training program is now referred to as “The Institute.”

Creative Spark Painting Winner is Announced

Mary Vanderheiden of Scottsdale, Arizona has been announced as the winner of the painting “Color After Fire”, donated by local artist Will Caldwell. Caldwell, the featured artist for the Symphony’s imagery in 2017, donated the painting for the Symphony’s 2017 season initiative Share your Creative Spark.
